We first came into to contact with Vinay at Dreamdax right before the dreaded Google mobile friendly deadline in 2015 as a result of a very unfortunate situation with another Web developer.
We had our website built by a local company, we thought they were reputable, but ultimately felt very mislead. We kept hearing things like “Oh, what you are looking for us to do was not included in the build quote” or “in order to do that, we would need to build additional pages, and that is extra”. Things that we, as the customer, didn’t know was now used against us for profit. So, yes, our ignorance may have been the problem, but the Web developer didn’t help educate us and therefore never earned our trust.
We needed some quick fixes to our website and we needed them quickly. We had just acquired a new graphic designer and he recommended Vinay to take a look at things and make the immediate improvements right away. Vinay rescued us to say the least.
Fast forward 3 years. Being in the HVAC industry we were now trying to leverage our distributer relationships and they offered us one of their “preferred web developers” to get us where we needed to be to be competitive in the web space. After a year of vetting and trying to learn more about the SEO/SEM process & web development, we ended up just sending a check to an Arizona company to “get it done” and it was a disaster before it started. The end result was – we get our money back – they just didn’t seem to understand what we needed to do to differentiate ourselves from the saturated HVAC environment.
You may be asking yourself, so why didn’t we use Vinay and Dreamdax again? Well, the time zone was an issue and we just needed to GET IT DONE.
Fast forward to an evening in early 2019, my wife and I had lost faith in outside web company’s and just tried to go it alone with the education we had acquired in the few years of research we had done (not a great idea when you need to change the big stuff). One evening, after working on our site, we ran into a problem, we realized that we had an outdated WordPress theme and that GUTENBERG had been added to WordPress. We are scrambling, trying to use our hosting company for support knowing that this is not part of their deal. Our website was in trouble leading into the busiest time of the season.
The first person to come to mind was Vinay. We sent an email and he got back to us that same night. The next day we were all fixed. We have since some to realize that time zone disruption is minimal. Based on the trust and support that he has provided, we should have partnered with Vinay and Dreamdax from the beginning – and now we are.
